Resistance to chemicals
Kerlite resists solvents, disinfectants and detergents. It is therefore very easy to clean and maintains its surface finish characteristics unchanged over time.

Kerlite is compatible with foodstuffs since it does not release elements in solution. It does not allow for the onset of mould, bacteria or mushrooms..
Fire-resistance
Kerlite does not contain organic materials and therefore resists fires and high temperature. It does not emit smoke in the event of fires nor toxic substances.
Resistance to wear
Kerlite resists scratches and deep abrasion: MOHS scale hardness equal to 8.
Its properties remain unchanged even after intensive use and frequent cleaning.
Chromatic properties
Since it does not feature organic pigments Kerlite resists UV rays and is colourfast.
Frost-proof
Thanks to a water absorption factor that is almost equal to zero, Kerlite resists frost and is suitable for any climatic and atmospheric condition.
High resistance to flexure
Kerlite has a high breaking point.
